Rosemary and Orange Pork Chops

Here’s another easy to put together meal to try this week. If you’re watching your budget, pork chops are usually a cheaper protein and here they get combined with rosemary and orange juice for a gourmet taste…

What you’ll need-

4 boneless pork chops

1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary (or half a tablespoon of dried)

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 small onion- peeled and minced

1/3 cup beef broth

1/3 cup orange juice

Season each of the pork chops with rosemary, salt and pepper.

Over medium high heat, heat the oil in a large skillet

Add the chops and cook until they are browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes per side.

Remove them from the skillet, place on a plate and keep warm while put the finishing touches to the recipe.

Add the chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until it’s soft.

Add both the broth and orange juice and scrape the skillet to remove any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.

Boil until liquid is reduced by half.

Pour the reduced sauce over pork chops and serve garnished with extra rosemary.
