PEAR & CHEESE SALAD
Four more weeks until spring or maybe it’s another month until fall depending on where you live. Either way this time of the year can have you craving something light, something different and here’s a salad that might just fit the bill…
2 tablespoons cream
Lettuce
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
1 8 ounce pkg. cream cheese
8 canned pears, cut in half
French Salad Dressing
What you’ll need–
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. mustard
1/4 tsp. pepper
3 Tb. vinegar
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/2 c. oil
Measure the dry ingredients and place them in a bowl.
Measure the vinegar and oil and add them to the dry ingredients and mix well.
How to make the salad
Mix the cream and salt with the cream cheese and shape into balls.
Place the pear halves on a plate garnished with lettuce leaves and place one of the cream cheese balls on each one.
Sprinkle with the chopped walnuts and then drizzle with the French dressing.
