Rating-A Must Have Book

Have you ever been looking for one cookbook and found another one purely by chance?
And has that purely by chance cookbook become a favorite? Your go to cookbook when you need something easy to make but yet delicious?
That’s what happened and how Essential Pantry Cookbook by Jen Chapin came to sit on my kitchen counter.
It’s fast become one of my favorite all time cookbooks. In fact, I’ve made close to 75% of the recipes.
I love the first section that has your basic staples like salad dressings, marinades, pie crusts, soup and salsas. Make these and you have a great supply to make a whole bunch of recipes.
The rest of the book is devoted to different categories like grains, pasta and noodles, legumes and vegetables, canned and frozen seafood, cured and frozen meat, and baking staples, with recipes for things like muffins and cookies.
Some of my favorite recipes are cheesy chicken and broccoli bake, classic beef chili, shepherd’s pie and chicken pot pie just to name a few.
If you’re looking for a cookbook that will help you build a pantry full of recipes that you can use on busy weeknights or just a simple to follow but full of flavor recipe, then definitely check out the Essential Panty Cookbook.
